After seeing one sugar-loaded vegan brownie recipe after another, we found our inspiration for sugar-free Rhinocolate brownies (no sweetener other than DATES).
Brownies
30 g of Rhinocolate (6 teaspoons)
45 g organic ethical cocoa powder
250 g dates
1 cup boiling water
1 cup Your choice Flour (wheat, seed, nut)
1 tablespoon Flaxseed meal
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
1/3 cup Homemade oat mylk
Glaze
10 g of Rhinocolate
50 g of Dates
¼ cup of boiling water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 350 F (180 C). Soak dates in hot water in blender until soft (10 minutes). Blend into a paste. Add Rhinocolate, cocoa, flour, flax, and baking powder. Blend more. Add oat mylk and vanilla extract. Blend more. Oil up an 8 x 8 “ cooking pan. Bake until firm ( around 20 minutes).
Meanwhile, blend dates with boiling water after soaking them. Add the other ingredients and blend again. Let the brownies cool by a window before adding icing. Refrigerate for an hour for the best texture before eating. Be careful not to eat too many of these too late in the night (unless you want to stay up and dance all night).
